Designer

Omar Stanley Bailey is a Design Entrepreneur who works with corporations, small businesses, and individuals by listening to their needs and ideas and creating design solutions. Over the past few years, Omar has designed footwear and products for top-tier clients in athletics: Nike and Adidas. His current client roster includes a host of athletes and entertainers such as Allan Houston, Gary Sheffield (Detroit Tigers), The Roots, and T-Pain.  In working with each client Bailey seeks to understand their vision and bring their ideas to life.

Bailey began his college career as an Industrial Design student at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. Omar transferred to the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning at the University of Cincinnati after hearing of its cooperative learning program which enables students to gain valuable and practical work experience as a part of the
college curriculum.  Between the years 2003-2006 Bailey had the opportunity to design footwear and products for New Balance, K-Swiss, and Hewlett Packard to name a few.

The on-site business and design experience led Bailey to start his own company, The Bright Idea Design Studios, Inc. in 2006.

As a young designer and entrepreneur Bailey believes in building viable community partnerships and giving back by sharing his knowledge, expertise, and experience while he and his ventures expand. He believes that sharing now (especially when it comes to youth) is an investment in future.  His message to youth is around excellence and practice and he believes that it is essential for all people to have the courage to fail while maintaining a strong network to succeed.

While many believe Bailey has accomplished a great deal in his 25 short years he believes he has a long way to go. Yet he is willing to share his story from being a skinny, shy boy growing up in West Palm Beach, FL to becoming an ambitious and successful entrepreneur living in New York City.   With his highly evolved business acumen and stealth design leadership, Bailey remains humble, and when asked about his current success, he will tell you that "Dreaming is truly believing."
